Hi my name is Atticus Finch and my sister just moved in with me. At first I was happy with the arrangement  because I barely had time to see my sister, but after some time passed she started causing conflicts with my kids and my helper, Cal. I want her to leave but I don’t want to hurt her feelings, what do I do?

Atticus, I would recommend that you have an honest conversation with your sister. Without knowing details she might be having problems with her family or she feels that you need help raising your kids. It is your home, and it is acceptable to set up boundaries where your family are concerned.

Hello newspaper I am missing my best friend named Dill. He was supposed to come to Maycomb this summer but he is staying with his parents this year. I really miss him and am beginning to think I may have feelings for him. How do I know if it is just his friendship I miss?

Scout, that’s a great question.  I would recommend sending letters to Dill. It would be easier to talk, and explore your feelings through writing rather than in person.  Keep your letters light and friendly and see where things go from there.

From Miss Maudie
To the Maycomb daily news

As you have probably heard my house burned down and I was wondering if you had any idea where I could live?
Miss Maudie, I’m glad you asked. In this very newspaper are houses to buy and rent. Mr. Jasper passed away recently and his children are looking for a reliable person to look after his home.  If that does not work out you can try living with your parents, siblings, or children. In tough times like these family is always trying to help out anyway they can.
